MONTAG KILLS
I think Montag turned the flamethrower on Captain Beatty because Beatty saw the earpiece in Montag's ear and said that he will trace it back to his friend. So Montag did this in order to protect Professor Faber.

Fahrenheit 451 first impression
In the beggining Bradbury is describing a fire
Clarisse is the future and she's different from everyone
Firemen start fires now instead if putting then out but Clarisse asks him about the origin if firemen and he says houses are fire proof and they start fires.

The imagery of Gatsby and Prufrock
1. Desire. Both Gatsby and Prufrock had a desire to be with certain girls. However, they both failed and while Gatsby was almost able to be with Daisy, Prufrock could not even speak to the girl he liked.
2. Loneliness. Prufrock is lonely and so is Gatsby. Even though Gatsby throws big parties and is surrounded by people, he is lonely. While Prufrock does not speak to anyone.
3. Trapped. Gatsby and Prufrock are trapped in their dreams of wanting to be with the girl they love. Prufrock is trapped within himself because he is too timid to do anything, and Gatsby is trapped by living in the past and wanting things to be the way they used to be.

The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
Throughout the poem, it had a negatived tone. Prufrock is trying to get the girl of his dreams but he is too afraid to even speak to her. He feels that he is is worthless, and is afraid to die. He wants to do a lot of things but he cannot because he is too timid. The poem does not have a happy ending and is basically telling us you are who you are, you cannot change that. I enjoyed reading the poem, in a way it was refreshing to have a story end on an unhappy one.

I think we should watch the movie in order to get a better understanding and compare the movie to the book.

Prufrock first impressions
The poem is very descriptive, the beggining is in Itallian, the tone of the first and second stanza is threatening.
There is a extended metaphor in the second stanza.
The narrator of the poem says that there is a lot of time including to create and murder.
